Meredith Bailey

Meredith Bailey is from Geneseo, New York. She graduated from Geneseo Central School in 2023, earning the school’s first advanced school diploma. She was awarded The Rachel Carson Book Award in her junior year. She began attendance at Chatham University in the fall of 2023 and earned a Merit Scholarship upon enrollment. Currently, she is studying cell and molecular biology where she is taking a variety of chemistry and biology courses. Meredith has been a lifeguard for almost three years, where she received valuable training in CPR/AED, basic water rescue, and first aid training. Working this part time job while attending high school taught her skills in communication, time management, and how to balance her responsibilities more effectively. Meredith is expected to graduate in April 2027. She hopes to one day work in the field of genetics.
